North Manheim Township is looking into establishing a Dog Park on our municipal lot located behind Hoss’s and CVS. We are in the very early stages of planning our dog park and recently held an informational meeting on February 21, 2019 to share and gather ideas and comments from those who will be benefiting from the park. In attendance at this meeting was North Manheim Township’s Board of Supervisors, Planning Commission Members and Ann Yost, a consultant working with the Blue Mountain Recreation Commission on the Open Space Plan.
We had a very positive response at this meeting from our residents and those of the general public and would like to say “Thank You” for sharing their opinions and suggestions for the dog park. Many items for consideration were discussed and it is all valuable information to assist in moving forward with the development of our recreational lot.
Remember, this is not just for North Manheim Township residents, but for all those in the surrounding communities who would benefit from a dog park, so please continue to share this great news with your friends and families as we will need continued support for our furry pups’ dog park.
As more information becomes available, we will continue to keep you updated. |
