As the Road Crews are plowing the snow as it comes down, the roads will still get covered? If snow is falling an at a rate of 1 inch per hour and it takes a plow truck 4 hours to complete it's route, FOUR inches of snow has fallen until it returns to its starting point. In North Manheim Township, we border 14 other municipalities so we are very large and scattered. On a good snow day, a plow truck can easily take 4 to 4.5 hours to plow one route and that is without any vehicle issues, all parked vehicles off Township roads, and minimal traffic on the roadways. Imagine if they come across a downed tree, parked vehicles they need to maneuver around, and vehicles slipping and sliding everywhere.....now you are looking at much longer and a greater amount of snow that has fallen.
